In conjunction with National Injury Prevention Day, NFPA has suggested Sparky the Fire Dog visit children’s hospitals across the country. We reached out to Dartmouth and Safe Kids to partner for a small event. After meeting, the group decided to plan for Sparky stationary in the outpatient family resource center, Molly’s Place (6th floor). NHSFMO will bring fire safety craft/activity, Sparky costume, books for potential impromptu story time, and a display table with print materials/ safety messages. Safe Kids (Center for Injury Prevention) will bring materials on topics including car seats, teen driving, and more.
