CPST's were able to meet with over several families over the course of 6 hours to provide car side education. This site is located in the Texas Medical Center which has a barrier for parking. In an effort to ease any parking barriers, our team was able to advocate for a designated space where families can park free of charge while receiving car seat safety education. Event Details

UTHealth Houston has become a partner with the Safe Riders program in Texas to educate about child passenger safety and provide child safety seats (CSS) to families in need. Safe Riders refers families to established distribution partner site locations in their local community. During this event, two CPST's were able to provide car side education, installation tips and car seat checks in multiple languages. We also provided education surrounding safe sleep and National Injury Prevention Day.
