PACESETTER: We hosted a Toddler Safety shower for the Lovelady center in Birmingham Al. It was super well attended and the feedback from the staff and the mothers was overwhelmingly positive! The grant was used to host a toddler safety shower for the women and children at our Lovelady Center in Birmingham. We had over 25 women attend and had a wonderful 1.5 hr educational, interactive program with them where we highlighted ingestions/medication safety, button battery safety, choking/CPR, firearm safety, helmet safety and car passenger safety. The women all got a goody bag with a gun lock, medication safety box, and home safety kits in addition to educational flyers/resources about ways to connect to the hospital and additional safety tips! I got feedback after the session from 4 women that are attached.
