Event Details
Duke Children's hosted a Teddy Bear Hospital for families at the Durham Museum of Life and Science. As part of the event, Duke Trauma and Safe Kids Durham County hosted a child passenger safety station teaching families about proper child restraint in the car. We measured the participants height and weight and discussed the appropriate child restraints for their individual needs. We also had a training seat and did a significant amount of booster education demonstrating the positioning difference between a lap and shoulder belt with and without a booster seat.
