Internal Staff Education and Outreach
Child Passenger Safety Technicians from the Milwaukee Campus led a unit education day with nursing assistants who are trained in car seat distribution and education. 5 individuals attended the training; there was a poster board presentation that was then provided to the unit to keep for future unit training and educational opportunities. The poster board touched on a variety of car seat safety topics including the 4 types of car seats offered at Children's Wisconsin for families to receive, information on our car seat clinic for installation support, information on proper fit, the Wisconsin state law vs safest practices, and information on car seat trials for registered nurses.
