Event Details

A week after Creighton celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony—where newly elected Mayor John Ewing issued a proclamation declaring November 18th as National Injury Prevention Day in Omaha—Creighton University’s new Child Safety Center welcomed the community for its Open House.

Families were invited to meet the staff, explore the new space, and connect with community partners including the Omaha Fire Department, Omaha Police Department, Region 6 Behavioral Health, and Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, among others. Guests enjoyed a free dinner provided by Big Mama’s and were entered into a raffle featuring prizes from the Omaha Children’s Museum, Kiewit Luminarium, Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo, and more.
