Injuries are the leading cause of death and disability for people ages 1–44 in the U.S. Whether intentional or unintentional, they impact families and communities every day.

Southwest Florida is committed to reducing injuries through education, outreach, and awareness — and Lee Health plays a major role. They operate the only Level II Trauma Center between Sarasota and Miami, providing critical care when every second counts.

This year, traumatic injuries have led to increased hospital visits across Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Hendry, and Glades Counties, making prevention more important than ever.
